We Just Want Someone to Not Feel Like We’re Failing In Life

It’s shocking how many people are in an unhappy relationship for the sake of being in one. When I think of why that is, many different ones come to mind. Financial struggles, kids, health issues, and confidence or lack thereof, to name a few.

And I get it; nobody hates love.

We want to be in love — feeling loved, cherished, and desired. However, when that’s no longer the case, agonizing weeks, months, and even years go by. Many don’t realize is that when we think about ending our relationship, we’re more likely to consider the desires and needs of our partner than our own. In addition, the more we feel that our partner is dependent on us, the less we dare to end the relationship. While some reasons are understandable, others are harder to comprehend. And yet, we have to ask why many of us have had the experience of being sucked into an unhealthy relationship. Why is it that we get caught in unhealthy relationships?
